Windows 7 sets the mouse pointer speed to a value that is comfortable for all users. However, if you find this too slow or too fast, the speed can be changed to suit your needs. Perform the following steps to adjust the double click speed for your mouse:
1. Click the Start button and then click Control Panel.
2. If the View by: is Category then click on Hardware and Sound. Under Devices and Printers, click Mouse. If the View by: is Large icons or Small icons then click on Mouse.
3. Click the Pointer Options tab. In the Motion section, drag the slider to the left for a slower speed or drag the slider to the right for a quicker speed.
4. Click Apply and then click OK.
