How to add commands that are not in the Ribbon to the Quick Access Toolbar in Excel 2007?

To add commands that are not in the Ribbon, perform the following:

1. Open Microsoft Excel.
2. Click the Microsoft Office Button and click Excel Options.
3. From the Excel Options dialog box, click Customize from the left pane.
4. From the right pane, under Choose commands from, click Commands Not in the Ribbon.
5. Click on a command and click the Add > > button.
6. Click OK

How to access the Ribbon using keyboard in Excel 2007?

To access the Ribbon using keyboard, press the ALT key. You will see some characters and numbers with a border surrounding it. The characters or numbers are the ones you need to follow to access the commands in the Ribbon.
For example, to access the New Comment command which is in the Review tab, press the ALT key and press R, and finally press C (ALT + R + C). 

Minimize the Ribbon in Excel 2007

The Ribbon, which is new to Microsoft Office 2007, has been designed to quickly find commands. The downside of the Ribbon is it occupies more space and to overcome this you can minimize the Ribbon. There are few ways to minimize the Ribbon and are listed below:

Using Keyboard : Press Ctrl + F1.

From the Quick Access Toolbar : Click Customize Quick Access Toolbar, and click Minimize the Ribbon.

From the tabs :Right click on any tab and click Minimize the Ribbon. You can also double click on any tab to minimize the Ribbon.
