How to resize multiple columns in Excel 2007?

In a new workbook, all columns are of the same size but you can resize the columns to suite your needs. If your worksheet has a larger number of columns that needs to be resized to the same width then you can resize all the columns at the same time. To resize multiple columns, you have to select the columns first.
The selection of multiple columns can be:

ShowAdjacent columns

Columns that are besides each other are called adjacent columns. Consider resizing columns B, C, D, E, and F. Click column B in the column header area. Press the SHIFT key and click the column F in the column header area.

ShowNon-adjacent columns

Columns that are not besides each other are called non-adjacent columns. Consider resizing columns B, H, J, N, and P. Click column B in the column header area. Press the CTRL key and click the columns H, J, N, and P in the column header area.
Once the selection of the columns is over, drag the border of one of the selected column to the right to enlarge the size of all the selected columns. Dragging towards left will minimize the size of all the selected columns.
You can also resize the column width by right-clicking on any selected column and clicking Column Width... and entering a number and clicking OK. (or) On the Home tab, in the Cells group, click Format, and click Column Width... and enter a number and click OK.
