How to insert multiple empty rows at the same time in Excel 2007?

To insert multiple rows at the same time, consider the figure to the right. The following data is missing:
Column A, row number 2 (cell A2) : February
Column A, row number 3 (cell A3) : March
Column A, row number 4 (cell A4) : April

Here, we have to insert three rows that are next to each other or three adjacent rows. Notice that we have to insert three rows between row number 1 and 2. To insert three rows, perform the following:
1. Click the row header with the row number 2.
2. Press and hold the SHIFT key. Click the row header with the row number 4. Now three rows will be highlighted.
3. Right-click on any highlighted row in the row header and click Insert.

We will consider another case where we will insert non-adjacent rows. Consider the figure to the right. The following data is missing.
Column A, row number 2 (cell A2) : February
Column A, row number 4 (cell A4) : April
Column A, row number 6 (cell A6) : June

Here, we have to insert 3 rows but the insertion points are between row number 1 and 2, row number 3 and 4, and row number 5 and 6. To insert these three rows, perform the following:
1. Click the row header with the row number 2.
2. Press and hold the CTRL key. Click the row header with the row number 4. Keeping the CTRL key in pressed state, click the row header with the row number 6. Three non-adjacent rows will be highlighted now.
3. Right-click on any highlighted row and click Insert.

Here's a brief summary:
1. Click to highlight the first row where you need to insert a row.
2. To insert adjacent rows, press the SHIFT key and click the last row. To insert non-adjacent rows, press the CTRL key and click to select other rows.
3. Right-click on any highlighted row and click Insert.

You may try inserting adjacent and non-adjacent rows at the same time.
