Reset the password using the password reset disk in Windows 7

If you are stuck on the login screen because of lost or forgotten password but have already created a password reset disk then perform the following steps to reset the password:
1. Enter a blank or incorrect password and then click Go button. Windows 7 will inform you that the user name or the password is incorrect.
2. Click OK to return to the Welcome screen. Now, click on the Reset password link to start the Password Reset wizard.
3. On the Welcome page, click Next.
4. On the Insert the Password Reset Disk page, select the USB flash disk or the floppy disk. Insert the password reset disk and then click Next.
5. On the Reset the User Account Password page, enter a new password and password hint. Click Next. Click Finish in the Completing the Forgotten Password Wizard page.
