The Ribbon, which is new to Microsoft Office 2007, has been designed to quickly find commands. The commands are grouped logically under a group which is in turn under a tab (Example of tabs: Home, Insert, and Page Layout). The downside of the Ribbon is it occupies more space and to overcome this you can minimize the Ribbon. There are few ways to minimize the Ribbon and are listed below:
Using Keyboard : Press Ctrl + F1.
From the Quick Access Toolbar : Click Customize Quick Access Toolbar, and click Minimize the Ribbon.
From the tabs :Right click on any tab and click Minimize the Ribbon. You can also double click on any tab to minimize the Ribbon.
