Select a text box

There are few ways to select a text box. Do any one of the following:
  • Using the pointing device (e.g., mouse): Move the cursor on the border of the text box. The cursor changes to Move. Click to select the text box (you will see the border of the text box appear with solid lines, if you had clicked inside the text box, you will see the border of the text box appear with dashed lines).
  • Using the Select Objects command: On the Home tab, in the Editing group, click Find & Select, and finally click Select Objects. Draw a box around the text box to select it.
  • Using the Selection and Visibility task pane: On the Home tab, in the Editing group, click Find & Select, and finally click Selection Pane. In the Selection and Visibility pane, click to select a text box. To select multiple text boxes, Press and hold the CTRL key, click the text boxes from the task pane.
