Rename a user account in Windows 7

If you are not satisfied with the user account name then you may change it easily. To rename a user account, perform the following steps:
1. Click Start button , click Control Panel.
2. If the View by: is Category then click on User Accounts and Family Safety and then click User Accounts. If the View by: is Large icons or Small icons then click on User Accounts.
3. Click Manage another account (If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation).
5. Click on the user account that needs to be renamed.
6. Click Change the account name.
7. In the New account name field, type the name and then click Change Name.
