Change border style in Excel 2007

You can change the border style directly from the Ribbon or from the Format Cells dialog box. We will see the two ways for changing the border style for cell(s).

Change the border style from the Ribbon:
1. On the Home tab, in the Font group click the DOWN arrow in Borders and point to Line Style. Click to select a style.
2. The mouse cursor changes to a Pen. Press the Esc key.
3. Select the cell(s) for which you need to change the border style. For selecting multiple cells, click here.
4. On the Home tab, in the Font group click the DOWN arrow in Borders and click All Borders.


Change the border style from the Format Cells dialog box:
1. Select the cell(s) for which you need to apply the border style. For selecting multiple cells, click here.
2. Press CTRL + 1 to open Format Cells dialog box.
3. Click the Border tab.
4. Click on a style under Style: box.
5. Under Presets, click Outline and also click Inside.
6. Click OK.
