Show or hide the taskbar in Windows 7

By default, the taskbar appears at the bottom of the screen. To view the taskbar if you do not see it on the computer screen, move the mouse cursor to the bottom of the screen. If the taskbar does not appear at the bottom of the screen then try moving the mouse to the top, right, or left part of the screen. You may also press the Windows Logo key to view the Start menu.

To hide the taskbar, perform the following steps:
1. Right-click on an empty space on the taskbar and click on Properties.
2. From the Taskbar and Start Menu Properties dialog box, under Taskbar appearance, click to place the check mark beside the Auto-hide the taskbar.
3. Click Apply and click OK.
